The Garland Company is now offering its highly reflective Sunburst mineral surfacing as a factory-applied option on certain StressPly high-performance membranes, for one-step installation of waterproofing protection and reflective surfacing.

Factory-applied Sunburst minerals are designed to provide a reflective surface that significantly reduces rooftop temperatures, while providing extreme hail, wind and weather protection.

Sunburst minerals are designed to provide a reflective surface that reduces rooftop temperatures, while providing weather protection.

The Sunburst mineral-surfaced membranes meet California Title 24 product criteria, are Cool Roof Rating Council listed products, exceed the SRI requirement set by LEED by nearly 20 percent, and offer an "appreciable difference in reducing HVAC cooling costs," said Tom Bauer of Garland.

Sunburst surfacing comes standard on StressPly EUV FR Mineral and StressPly Max FR Mineral and is offered as an optional upgrade with StressPly Plus FR Mineral and StressPly E FR Mineral membranes. Garland says its StressPly membranes have numerous application options, including hot, cold, self-adhering, and torch.
