Cast intumescent fireproofing as an alternative to spray-applied coatings will be the focus of a free upcoming product-oriented webinar hosted by Durability + Design.

"Pre-Manufactured Intumescent Castings for Architectural Applications," a D+D Product Profile Series Webinar, will be presented at 11 a.m. ET July 10.

The discussion will include the basics of cast intumescent fireproofing, detail case histories in Europe, and describe potential alternative options to in-situ spray applied intumescent materials.

About the Presenter

The presenter will be Bill Dempster, North America Fire Protection Market Manager for International Paint LLC, which is sponsoring the webinar.

Bill Dempster

The presenter will be Bill Dempster, of sponsor International Paint.

Dempster has more than 25 years of experience in the protective coatings industry, specializing in fire protection and pipeline coatings. Before joining International Paint, Dempster held a variety of technical and marketing positions with WR Grace and the Tyco Corrosion Protection Group. He is a member of CSI, SSPC, NACE and past Task Group Chair for ASTM E6.21.01 fireproofing standards.

Dempster holds one patent, has more than 30 publications, and has presented at various conferences and seminars around the globe. He has a BS in Environmental Sciences from Bemidji State University.
