Free Webinar Tackles Building Moisture

Common problems of moisture intrusion in single-wythe masonry buildings will be the topic of a free educational webinar hosted by Durability + Design.

"Investigating Sources of Moisture in Concrete and Masonry Walls" will be presented from 10 to 11 a.m. ET May 10.

The webinar will discuss sources of moisture intrusion, including parapet walls, leaking gutters and downspouts, deficiencies in insulation, problems with air leakage, and poor wind-driven rain resistance of the coating.

About the Presenter

Kenneth Trimber, president of KTA-Tator Inc., and Kevin Brown, manager of KTA-Tator's Commercial Services Group, will present the webinar.

The presenters will be Kenneth Trimber (left), president of KTA-Tator, and Kevin Brown, manager of KTA's Commercial Services Group.

Trimber has 40 years of experience in the industrial painting field. He holds a BS from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, is an SSPC Protective Coatings Specialist, a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector, and is certified at a Level III nuclear coating inspection capability in accordance with ANSI N45.2.6.

Additionally, he is a past president of SSPC and a past chairman of ASTM D1 on Paints and Related Coatings, Materials, and Applications.

Brown develops and implements maintenance programs for commercial clients with architectural/commercial problems related to paint failures. He is a certified XL Tribometrist, with more than 12 years of experience in the retail facility management field. He has overseen building maintenance and preventative maintenance programs for more than 1,700 stores.

He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA from Gardner-Webb University.
