New CRRC Member Appointed

Business strategy firm The ChemQuest Group Inc. recently announced in an emailed press release the appointment of David A. Cocuzzi as ex-officio member of the board of directors for the Cool Roof Rating Council. Cocuzzi has also been elected Vice Chair of the CRRC Technical Committee.

Previously, Cocuzzi served as the chair for the board of directors of the CRRC. His career spans 45 years of experience with coatings; 20 years with reflective roofing technology and the associated standards; and several decades of global senior-level executive management.

Business strategy firm The ChemQuest Group Inc. recently announced in an emailed press release the appointment of David A. Cocuzzi as ex-officio member of the board of directors for the Cool Roof Rating Council. Cocuzzi has also been elected Vice Chair of the CRRC Technical Committee.

From 1981 to 2015, Cocuzzi held key positions at AkzoNobel, with his most recent position being Global Manager, Innovation & Sustainability, Coil and Extrusion Coatings. He launched his career in 1974 by joining Sherwin-Williams Company’s Coil Coatings, General Industrial Coatings Division as Chemist, Group Leader.

President and CEO of ChemQuest Dan Murad spoke on behalf of colleagues, noting: “the honor is very well deserved. David Cocuzzi is well suited for his various industry roles having cultivated an exemplary work ethic, extraordinary analytical skills and creativity, backed by four decades of global specialty chemicals’ experience. David always exceeds our clients’ expectations; we are fortunate to have him on board.”

Dave is smart and wise- not a common combination these days. An expert in coatings technology and a realist when it comes to furthering the use of energy saving materials in building envelopes. The CRRC community is enriched with his participation.
