RPM International Inc., (Medina, Ohio) parent company to names such as Carboline, Flowcrete and Rust-Oleum, recently announced multiple senior promotions as part of its organizational realignment.

“These promotions are being made as part of an organizational realignment that will support our operating improvement initiatives,” said chairman and CEO Frank Sullivan.

“As seasoned veterans of RPM, Lonny, Matt and Gordy have all been instrumental to the success of our company over the years, and I’m confident their leadership in these new roles will yield outstanding results for RPM and its shareholders. We look forward to seeing their respective expertise put to work for RPM on a larger scale as they unlock value in our operations and IT, and drive greater collaboration between our companies worldwide.”

Personnel and Structure

DiRusso will now be responsible for ensuring that RPM’s corporation-wide IT program aligns with its strategic vision. For the past 13 years, DiRusso held the position of vice president of information technology at RPM.

Franklin will be responsible for day-to-day IT support at RPM’s corporate headquarters, providing oversight of IT initiatives and managing the company’s information security program. Franklin joined RPM 20 years ago and previously held the position of senior director of IT operations.

Hyde will be joining colleague Timothy Kinser—also recently appointed as vice president of operations—to lead RPM’s manufacturing, supply chain and procurement improvement initiatives.

RPM first announced its organizational changes in July, two weeks after announcing new initiatives as part of a cooperation agreement with fund manager Elliot Management.

At that time, company president and COO Ronald A. Rice, took an early retirement, and all senior leadership were instructed to report to Sullivan.

RPM announced on June 28 that its agreement with Elliott Management (an activist fund led by billionaire Paul Singer) would bring about changes, including two new directors, the establishment of an Operating Improvement Committee on its board and the engagement of a consultant on operational improvements.
