The Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs is soliciting bids for the exterior coating of five buildings at the Silverbell Army Heliport (SBAHP) in Marana, Arizona.

A mandatory site visit is March 21 and bids are due March 30.

Scope of the Coating Work

The awarded contractor is expected to clean and coat the exterior of five specified buildings. All five buildings and all trime are to be cleaned by sanding or abrasive blast-cleaning in preparation of coatings applications. Any other exposed surfaces shall be properly primed prior to coating. All seams and minor cracks are required to be caulked and sealed before coatings application. The contractor is responsible for any special tool requirements such as man lifts, power-washer equipment or ladders.

After cleaning and surface preparation is complete, the contractor will apply a commercial grade exterior flat acrylic in a color that closely matches the original to all the buildings’ exteriors. All trim shall receive a commercial grade semi-gloss exterior latex enamel that closely matches the original exterior trim finish. The contractor should ensure overspray and coatings are controlled and do not affect surrounding vehicles and buildings. A final clean-up of the job site is to be completed by the contractor.

Owner-approved brand is PPG or approved equal.
