Roofing organizations that have joined forces to bring Roofing Day (March 7) to Washington, D.C. are seeking help.

RCI Inc., along with the National Roofing Contractors Association and other organizational partners, have formed a coalition and are taking their voices to the capital March 6-7.

“Our collective goal is to have 1,000 roofing professionals participate,” the organizations said in a statement. “This is a unique and exciting opportunity, as we will take over Capitol Hill and speak as a united industry.”

The event includes a reception Tuesday night (March 6) and a breakfast followed by advocacy training the following day. Congressional appointments will also take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

In addition to general participants, organizers are looking for team captains from each state, who will assist in the promotion of the event and recruit colleagues for their respective states. Captains will receive reimbursement for one night’s hotel stay and recognition at the breakfast.
