The British Coatings Federation and the British Adhesives and Sealants Association are joining forces to shed light on how Brexit—the prospective withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union—could impact the surrounding industries.

The duo of organizations is holding a seminar, “‘Halfway to Brexit: Government, Supply Chain and Global Industry Perspectives,” which will feature a range of industry and government speakers from the U.K. and EU. Each speaker will offer insight on regulations, standards and the economy.

“We are nearly one year from Brexit and whilst there is still much to be decided on, we’re starting to get a better picture from government of how Brexit might impact the coatings, adhesives and sealants industries,” said Ellen Daniels, BCF’s Head of Public Affairs and Policy. “Our Halfway to Brexit seminar will provide insight into what’s going on in government and some thoughts from our colleagues across Europe.”

Lorna Williams, Secretary of BASA, echoed those sentiments: “We’ve heard a lot lately about the developments made as we get closer to leaving the EU, but we still need clarity in terms of what this means for our industry. The goal of this seminar is to help answer some of the questions that remain in the industry, and help our members prepare for Brexit.”

The seminar will be held April 11 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nottingham – Gateway.
