An industry association is taking steps to raise awareness on work site safety. The National Association of Home Builders recently launched its Safety 265 initiative, a campaign designed to make sure professionals have all the information and resources they need to minimize accidents, injuries and deaths.

“Our members realize the importance of jobsite safety because we know that our employees have families to return home to,” said NAHB Chairman Randy Noel. “Safety 365 is an important initiative that will keep these efforts at the forefront of our industry.”

The National Association of Home Builders recently launched its Safety 265 initiative, a campaign designed to make sure professionals have all the information and resources they need to minimize accidents, injuries and deaths.

The campaign is a joint effort between the NAHB Construction Safety Committee and Builders Mutual Insurance Co., which has worked with the NAHB since the launch of its SAFE awards in 2006.

“Builders Mutual is thrilled to be a part of such a critical initiative that looks to protect the health and well-being of the employees that build the American dream each and every day,” said Mike Gerber, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Builders Mutual Insurance Co.

“If the building industry continues to work together to raise the awareness of safety on the jobsite, then home builders and their employees are better positioned for long-term success.”

Each month the NAHB will highlight a different aspect of construction workplace safety on all of its platforms (blog, newsletter, social media) and includes educational resources and training materials.
