For its 2018 iteration the Grey to Green Conference has issued a call for proposals, which should cover topics such as climate change adaptation and mitigation, as well as urban agriculture and food production.

Reflecting the theme of the 2018 conference—Green Infrastructure: Jobs, Health and Community Resilience—proposals should also pertain to issues such as stormwater management, human health and green infrastructure accounting and asset management.

Submitting Proposals

Parties interested in submitting a paper proposal to the conference must submit to the website by Dec. 20.

The conference will be held May 15-16, 2018, at the Chestnut Conference Centre in Toronto.

From there, the conference’s advisory committee will evaluate the submission based on if it features the best practices, innovation, new information, practical learning opportunities and the opportunity for learning across sectors.

The Grey to Green conference is looking for proposals for presentations and interactive workshops that fall under the following topics:

  • Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation;
  • Urban Agriculture and Food Production;
  • Human Health and Biophilic Benefits;
  • Economic Benefits—Green Infrastructure Accounting & Asset Management;
  • Stormwater Mangement (Policies, Quantification, Design);
  • Energy Benefits / Urban Heat Island; and
  • Green Infrastructure Monitoring and Intervention using the Internet of Things.

Each proposal will receive a response by Feb. 1, 2018. The conference will be held May 15-16, 2018, at the Chestnut Conference Centre in Toronto.
