Durability + Design will host a free webinar on Wednesday (Aug. 23) entitled: “Architectural Protective Coatings—FEVE Resin Technology.” AGC Chemicals Americas Inc.'s Kristen Blankenship will explore different architectural coatings, specifically fluoropolymers, and their benefits.

AGC Chemicals Americas

The "Architectural Protective Coatings—FEVE Resin Technology" will explore different architectural coatings, specifically fluoropolymers, and their benefits.

Learning Objectives

  • Compare and contrast polyvinylidene fluoride (PVdF) and fluoroethylene vinyl ether (FEVE) architectural coatings in terms of application and performance.
  • Knowledgably determine which FEVE coating type to apply based on field or shop application and substrate (solvent-based, solid resins, water-borne, powder).
  • Discuss the low-VOC/HAPS-free attributes of FEVE coatings and the importance of meeting South Coast Air Quality (SCAQMD) standards.
  • Discuss the attributes and benefits of FEVE technology when applied to a project exterior, including long-lasting protection from the elements (UV rays, wind, rain, corrosion) and reducing the use of resources and costs associated with maintenance/repair.

Participants are eligible for one AIA LU|HSW credit. This webinar is sponsored by AGC Chemicals-Lumiflon.

About the Presenter

Blankenship is a technical service chemist at AGC Chemicals Americas, based in Exton, Pennsylvania. After nearly three years working with Lumiflon resins in the lab, she moved into a business development role. She now supports strategic accounts in developing high performance coating technology based on Lumiflon FEVE resins.

Ok...this one is too tempting to not do.... if they have a fluoroethylene vinyl ether conference, would it be called CONFEVE? :D
