Netherlands-based laminate plate manufacturer Trespa International BV announced a new product on April 20, and also disclosed the expansion in its line of cladding panels.

Trespa, a developer of panels for exterior cladding; facades; and surface solutions; introduced Meteon Focus, which comes in two derivations: Santiago and Brooklyn.

Trespa International BV recently unveiled its Meteon Focus line of cladding panels, and also expanded its Meteon Lumen line.

According to Trespa, Meteon Focus Santiago is based on the “abstract interpretation on a cityscape, defined by light reflections and building contours.” Meteon Focus Brooklyn was “inspired by intriguing ephemeral traces.”

The company says the Focus line allows architects a range of ways to develop looks and effects for facades, all inspired by natural materials.

Adding Colors

Trespa also unveiled five metallic colors in its Meteon Lumen range of products—India Brown, China Gold, and Roman Bronze among them—with each color available in three finishes. The firm says the Diffuse finish is devoid of glossiness, reflection and texture; Oblique has a weathered, uneven matte-and-gloss surface; and Specular is colorful with a reflective gloss. Trespa adds that each color has subtle differences between panels on a facade.

Trespa’s cladding panels are made by compressing impregnated paper or wood fibers and epoxy, phenolic or polypropylene resin, then subjecting them to high pressure and high temperature.
