Under the terms of the acquisition, the company will be known as “Avery Dennison Hanita” and will continue its operations as a distinct business unit.

About Hanita Coatings

For more than 30 years, Hanita has manufactured polyester films and laminates to meet industrial and consumer applications, according to its website.

The firm began shifting its focus from label, print and appliance markets to center on the clean-tech sector in 2010, developing solar window films to increase energy efficiency of buildings as well as products to protect Vacuum Insulation Panels (VIPs).

The company is headquartered in Kibbutz Hanita, in Israel’s Western Galilee, and has more than 190 employees. It has sales and distribution facilities in the U.S., Germany, China and Australia.

About Avery Dennison

Headquartered in Glendale, California, Avery Dennison produces pressure-sensitive and functional materials and labeling products and packaging on a global scale.

The company’s applications and technologies are used in architecture and building, among other industries. In 2016, the company reported sales of $6.1 billion.
