MSA says the cartridges are easy to install and thread directly onto receptacles on Comfo and other twin-cartridge respirators.

The Comfo Respirator Cartridges are designed to provide a high level of protection against a wide variety of contaminants, including dusts, particles and mists, the company said.

MSA indicated that the cartridges are easy to install and thread directly onto receptacles on Comfo and other twin-cartridge respirators.

The cartridges are intended for use in asbestos abatement, welding, sanding and grinding, and painting applications, according to the company.

Is protection from lead dust specifically NOT covered?

Comment from M. Halliwell, (9/17/2015, 11:46 AM)

They probably lumped it in with "painting applications" for abating lead paint. If it is NIOSH approved as a P100, then it should be fine for lead dust.
