Anvil Paints & Coatings has introduced a 100 percent acrylic product for resurfacing wood, concrete and composite surfaces.

Deck-A-New is a solid-color finish that repairs structurally sound substrates, thereby postponing or avoiding higher-cost replacement, according to the company.

The eco-friendly formula provides a substantial layer that dries up to four times thicker than conventional stains, says Largo, FL-based Anvil.

The product allows users to extend deck and walkway life, said executive vice president Glenn Roth. Deck-A-New employs resin technology that "will not only rejuvenate, but extend the life of existing wood and concrete surfaces as well as preserve it for years to come," said Roth.

Features and Characteristics

The thick coating fills cracks and encapsulates splinters while delivering a slip-resistant finish that withstands scuffs, peels and chips, the company said. The finish is "barefoot friendly," low maintenance, and resists water and weathering, according to Anvil.

Deck-A-New may be applied to both vertical and horizontal interior and exterior surfaces. The product comes in five standard colors and three tint bases; cleanup is with soap and water.

Anvil Paints & Coatings manufacturers 65 product lines for vertical and horizontal, concrete and masonry surfaces. The company also supplies waterproofing sealers, floor coatings, roof coatings, dry wall refinishing coatings, primers, and interior texture products.
