Justin Bieber may call it a hobby and a million fans may “Like” it, but Brazilian authorities have declared the pop singer's spray-painting escapades a crime.

The 19-year-old pop star, who has been touring South America for his worldwide Believe Tour, will be fined with "tagging or otherwise defiling a building or urban monument" after paparazzi captured him tagging the former Hotel Nacional late Tuesday (Nov. 5) night, Rio de Janeiro police announced Friday (Nov. 8).

The charges followed a three-day hearing that involved photographers, police, Bieber's security guards and others, Rio police told E! News.

Second offense, put him in jail in S. American and see how he likes it. A fine isn't going to teach him anything. Why do some people think they are above the law?

Justin needs to spend some money making the buildings look nicer, to show his appreciation to the fans that support him. Crappy looking graffiti is not cool Justin, grow up!
