The world's most popular size brush now comes in three new filament blends and a thick new shape that allows painters to bring more paint to each stroke, according to Wooster Brush.
The Ohio manufacturer has introduced 2½-inch semioval angle sash style brushes in three of the company's best-selling filament blends.
Wooster says the design of its new semioval angle sash is nearly twice as thick as conventional angle sash brushes. The extra thickness creates a larger internal reservoir for carrying more paint to the surface, according to Wooster.

The brush offers similar cut-in control to traditional angled brushes, without needing to spend as much time reloading, Wooster Brush says.
3 Models
The new line comes in three models:
The Alpha 4243 ($29.99) features Wooster's patented Micro Tip filaments, which are designed to deliver a professional finish. Alpha provides a 30 percent increase in production over other brushes of equal size, according to Wooster.
The new Chinex FTP 4416 ($32.99) has added stiffness and a fuller, softer tip to deliver a precise stroke with less drag. FTP also offers cleanability and durability, the manufacturer reports.
The blend of white and silver CT polyester in Silver Tip 5226 ($18.99) is designed to virtually eliminate brushmarks; the thin, flexible ends provide leveling and smoothing at a lower price.
The brushes are available at traditional paint and decorating centers, hardware stores, and paint sundry distributors or retailers.
