Omnova Solutions has introduced a colloidal dispersion designed to form a 2K coating system for schools, hospitals and other high-traffic areas.
The new Pliotec A60 colloidal dispersion, which is fortified with a water-based epoxy, can be used on interior vertical walls in institutional locations and other high-traffic areas that require frequent cleaning, according to the company.

The 2K epoxy system is low VOC and low odor, the company says.

Omnova says the product can be applied to cement blocks, primed metal, wood, drywall and plaster.

The company says the product offers high abrasion and scuff resistance and stands up to strong cleaning products.
Coatings formulated with Pliotec SA60 are low VOC, low odor, APE free, and boast superior adhesion and drying capabilities, Omnova adds.
The product is available in North America in bulk shipments or 275-gallon totes, the company notes.
The Pliotec product portfolio includes waterborne resins for masonry, concrete and anti-corrosion coatings.
