Polyglass U.S.A. Inc. introduced its Polyreflect modified bitumen membrane during the 2013 International Roofing Expo, held Feb. 5-7 in San Antonio, TX.
The new cap sheet features a specialized surface that consists of a tri-laminate film, which produces a highly reflective, smooth, quality roofing membrane, according to the company.
Features, Properties
Polyreflect is an Energy Star-approved film surface and is listed with the Cool Roof Rating Council with a Solar Reflectivity of 85 and total Solar Reflective Index of 105, the company says.
The company says the environmentally friendly tri-laminate film surface provides "superior" fire burn results and demonstrates high UV resistance and durability.
Also, the product features Polyglass' patented ADESO Technology, a dual-compound technology using an APP (atactic polypropylene) or SBS (sequenced butadiene-styrene) formulation on the top side and an aggressive self-adhered formulation on the bottom side of the reinforcement, the company notes.
After many years of service, the product can be "revitalized" with application of Polyglass' Polybrite 70 elastomeric roof coating, Polyglass said.
Based in Deerfield Beach, FL, Polyglass manufactures products for the commercial and residential roofing industry.
