Deck Coatings Enter U.S. Market

Global flooring manufacturer Flowcrete Group Ltd. has announced it will introduce its Deckshield parking protection coating systems to the Americas market.

The coating system is crack-resistant and reduces tire noise, Flowcrete says.

Flowcrete Deckshield has been used on numerous outdoor parking structures throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The system will now be manufactured by Flowcrete North America Inc., based in Conroe, TX, for projects across the Americas. 

System Characteristics

The system—available in polyurethane and quick-curing MMA variants—delivers both protective and aesthetic functions in modern parking environments, according to the company.

The UV-stable flexible waterproof membrane offers reduction of tire noise as well as fire and crack resistance, the company says on its website.

Flowcrete will officially introduce Deckshield and promote other products at the World of Concrete, Feb. 5-8, in Las Vegas, NV.
