The tool allows users to control color quality for textiles, wallcoverings and more.

The patent-pending technology may eliminate the need to send physical samples of products, the company says.
Color by Numbers
Designed to meet the needs of product quality control operators and color analysts, Viewport’s "accurate imaging technology" enables remote visualization and color evaluation for a wide range of products under multiple lights, the company says.
By combining calibrated imaging with a web-based image communication platform, the tool offers “the benefits of visual evaluation along with the objectivity of color-by-numbers,” the company adds.

Viewport makes it possible to accurately and efficiently control color quality for lace, denim, fabric prints/patterns, wallcoverings and other multicolor products, making it particularly well-suited for the textile industry, the company says.
No More Samples
“Eliminating the need to ship physical samples is a significant benefit to both the supplier and buyer in the supply chain,” said Eric Alho, product marketing manager at Datacolor.
Cloud-server technology enables Viewport users to share data instantly and securely anywhere around the globe. Users have the ability to approve, reject, archive and search samples with the system.
Based in Lawerenceville, NJ, Datacolor has provided color management products and color communication technologies to the paint and coatings, apparel and textile, automotive, plastics and other industries for more than 40 years.
