Building upon a longtime relationship, Valspar Paints says it intends to gift $21 million in cash and paint donations to Habitat for Humanity through 2014.
In announcing its donation and as part of its committment to Habitat, the company also launched its Valspar Love Your Color Guarantee Project.

The Valspar Love Your Color Guarantee Project invites Facebook users to "virtually paint houses" to show support for Habitat for Humanity.

For every home that's virtually painted between between Oct. 24 and Nov. 7, Valspar promises to donate $1 to Habitat, up to $50,000, with a minimum donation of $25,000.
Facebook users must "Like" Valspar and click the "color you love" button on the social media website to participate.
Color Assurance Program Extended
The company also extended its color assurance initiative, Love Your Color Guarantee, until Oct. 7, 2013.
Through this program, Valspar offers a free replacement color to anyone who does not "absolutely love" an initial color choice.
The guarantee applies to purchases of Valspar Signature Interior Paint at Lowe’s, and will be issued through a rebate for up to two gallons of a replacement Valspar paint color, the company says.
Additional details can be found at www.loveyourcolor.com.
Celebrity Ambassador
The company partnered with actor, model and former wrestler Stacy Keibler to make the latest Habitat committment announcements. Keibler will act as the Love Your Color Guarantee Project ambassador.

“I have worked with Habitat for Humanity in the past, and am proud to partner with them and Valspar Paint to support this important program that will help families in need of decent, affordable homes,” said Keibler.
“Last year alone, Habitat served more than 80,000 families, and through this project we can bring the strength of color and joy into the lives of many more.”
Past program ambassadors include actors Rob Lowe and Lea Michele.
History of Support
The Valspar Foundation and Habitat for Humanity International launched their national partnership in 2002, but Valspar said its support for Habitat began in the mid-1980s when it first provided paint and services to Habitat for Humanity Twin Cities in Minnesota.
Since 2002, the company has guaranteed paint for every Habitat house built, repaired or rehabilitated in the U.S.
“In these challenging economic times, Valspar and its employees are deeply committed to Habitat and its mission of providing simple, decent, affordable housing for families facing difficult circumstances,” said Gary E. Hendrickson, Valspar president and CEO.
