The purchase includes all brands and formulations of the deck coating product line. The products will be co-branded by Pecora and CCW “until the acquisition integration is complete and well understood in the marketplace,” the companies said. For now, CCW will continue to process all orders.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Pecora: ‘Broaden Our Offerings’
The acquisition increases Pecora’s presence in the coatings market by further extending its vast product portfolio, which includes silicone, urethane, latex, and butyl construction sealants; traffic, security, acoustic, fenestration, fire-rated, and polysulfide sealants; concrete repair; traffic coatings; water repellants; and primers. The transaction also gives Pecora an established customer base.
Based in Harleysville, PA, and established in 1862, Pecora says the deal is part of its growth strategy and reflects “a continuing commitment to providing the most innovative sealants to the commercial construction market.”
The acquisition will allow both companies to concentrate more closely on their “core competencies,” said Pecora president and CEO Joe Virdone.
“This agreement provides us a better opportunity to manage our businesses,” said Virdone. ”Very importantly, it also establishes a platform for Pecora to broaden our offerings in this changing marketplace.”
