Simplifying for Architects, Designers
“Although we will continue to provide custom matching for the industry, we created this palette to provide architects and designers an easy means to select colors and designs,” said Ben Mitchell, Extrusion Coatings Sales & Marketing manager.

About TRINAR
In use since the early 1970s, AkzoNobel’s TRINAR exterior metal building finish is comprised of a 70% formulation of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resin.
Research and production quality assurance programs have produced years of 45-degree South Florida exposure data that demonstrate TRINAR’s resistance to exterior weathering, fading, color change, cracking and chalking, according to the company.
The system has become a popular coating for factory application on aluminum, galvanized metal roofing, and zinc/aluminum coated steel substrate, AkzoNobel says.
TRINAR coatings are designed to protect and beautify a wide range of metal building components, including panel systems, curtain-wall, window systems, louvers, canopies, mullions, store fronts, and fascia.
When properly applied, TRINAR passes the rigorous testing requirements of AAMA 2605, the company says.
For specifications that require coating several components on the same project, TRINAR is available for both spray and coil coating applications using the same pigmentation, ensuring continuity of color throughout the project, the company says.
