Manufacturers of Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) have elected Peter Balint of Dryvit Systems as their new president.
The EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA) Board of Directors announced the appointment Wednesday (Aug. 15.). Balint, who had been vice president of the group, succeeds Parex USA’s Buck Buchanan, who had held the position for two years.

EIFS were first introduced in the United States almost 40 years ago. They were first used on commercial buildings and, later, on homes. Today, by some estimates, EIFS account for about 30% of the U.S. commercial exterior wall market, according to EIMA.
