Crawford Laboratories has expanded its Florock resinous flooring line with the addition of two fast-curing, zero-VOC epoxy coating systems. New Floropoxy 4900 and 4905 are 100% solids systems designed to offer faster curing, simple mixing, and easy field tinting.
Mix and Match
The varied viscosities, cure-time options and 2:1 mix ratios complement other Florock offerings, allowing contractors to more precisely select their resin components, based on unique job site conditions, available turn-around time, and building owner preference, according to Crawford.

“Floropoxy 4900 and 4905 were developed in response to our approved installers’ requests,” says David Schmetterer, Crawford Labs’ President.
Both products are designed for use in hospitals, warehouses, manufacturing plants, detention facilities and other commercial, industrial and light institutional applications. A variety of colors can be achieved with the addition of Florock 100% solids colorants.
Floropoxy 4900 is a fast-curing, high-performance, low-odor epoxy designed for use as a glossy midcoat or topcoat over slurry, mortar and decorative systems.
Made for durability and easy maintenance, 4900 makes floors easier to clean and prevents concrete dusting, the manufacturer says. Floropoxy 4900 can be used in place of Floropoxy 4805 in any Florock system.
Floropoxy 4905 is a low-viscosity, 100% solids, self-leveling epoxy for concrete, available with a standard or fast-curing activator.
Chicago-based Crawford Laboratories has developed, manufactured and installed concrete floor coatings and toppings for more than 60 years.
