“Flooring Options for High-Traffic Areas” will be presented from 11 a.m. to noon EDT Aug. 14.
Big-box stores, apartment lobbies, school hallways and other high-traffic spaces have unique flooring needs. This webinar will explore concrete floor coating options and discuss how to use a set of criteria to select the best option for the needs of a specific project.

At KTA, Helsel manages coating projects, performs failure investigations and coating surveys, writes coating specifications, and is a regular instructor for coating inspection courses. He holds an MS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

“Reflective Roof Coatings and LEED,” presented July 24 by architectural consultant Robert J. Kobet, AIA, LEED Faculty, demonstrated how projects that use reflective roof coatings can acquire LEED points.

“High-performance Coatings for Exterior Metals,” Part 4 of the D+D Specifiers Series, was geared toward specifiers. The July 11 webinar discussed several coating systems typically used for ferrous metal surfaces on building exteriors. The presenter was Walter Scarborough (SCI, SCIP AIA), of Hall Building Information Group LLC.

“Life-Cycle Cost Considerations in Selecting Fluoropolymer Coatings for Architectural and Industrial Applications,” presented May 18, provided a framework for considering total life-cycle costs of coatings, factoring in maintenance, re-coating and replacement. The presenter was Bob Parker, technical service chemist for AGC Chemicals.
