Skyway Roofing, which provides industrial, commercial and residential roofing services, will perform the work. The project had been estimated at up to $100,000.
Scope of Work
The project involves power-washing and coating 8,372 square feet of metal roofing with a fluid-applied elastomeric coating on two existing buildings.

The contractor will prepare the surface by power washing; repair any rusted metal roof and around lead stacks; and apply a layer of elastomeric flashing cement on all horizontal head-lap joints, vertical seams, vents, and curbs. This will be followed by an appropriate primer followed by two coats of elastomeric coating.
In addition, the exposed fasteners on the roof will be caulked over with a “Hershey kiss” to ensure a watertight roof when the metal thermally expands and contracts.
