Flood® Wood Care, a producer of specialty wood stains, introduced OneCoat Waterproofing Finish, reported to protect wood surfaces with one application rather than two.
The stain, available exclusively at The Home Depot, is formulated with an oil and water emulsion, providing superior penetration and protection, the company says. it can be applied hours after wood preparation, allowing application to fences, decks and wood before the wood has completely dried.
The stain is described as ideal for new or weathered exterior wood that is porous enough to accept a penetrating finish and it cleans up with soap and water. Before beginning a wood staining project, it is suggested that users view the product calculator at www.flood.com.
The stain is mildew resistant and is available in premixed wood stain colors and a natural color that may be tinted to additional wood-toned options. Clarity of color is produced with the formula’s Trans-Oxide Pigments.
