A gun-wielding Galveston, Texas, woman recently warded off a man who allegedly broke into her home. And what weapon did she use to accomplish this feat? Paintball gun.
Shades of the precocious Kevin McAllister in Home Alone, perhaps.
According to local news accounts of the incident, Carrie King, 34, called police just before she unleashed a barrage of yellow paintballs on the alleged intruder, Elvis Alexander, 53.

When the police officer arrived on the scene, he heard King yelling and went inside, the reports said.
“He heard her firing the paintball gun and the sound of the impacts of the paint balls,” Lt. Michael Gray, a Galveston police spokesperson, told media outlets.
Alexander was arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit theft after authorities found him in the home, covered in the paint, The Galveston Daily News reported.
According to the report, Alexander lives within four blocks of King and had, in the past, mowed her lawn.
Before being shot with the paintball gun, Alexander allegedly took coins and Ramen noodles from the home, the report said.
A light haul and a heavy price to pay…the slammer and a coating of yellow paint.
