The Wallcoverings Association announced it will offer a continuing-education course (CEU) on the new Sustainability Standard, available to architects, designers and specifiers seeking to create more sustainable environments for their clients.

The CEU course is designed to give participants an understanding of the principles governing the NSF/ANSI 342 Sustainable Wallcoverings standard, and a working knowledge of the many criteria that qualify a wallcoverings product as sustainable, the organization says.
The course will also identify specific products and companies that have earned sustainability certification, as well as those currently applying.
“The standard is unique in the industry and is the first of its kind to establish benchmarks in conjunction with a third party,” the association says.
The course will also provide a “comprehensive” background into the elements of the standard.
The availability of the course will be formally announced at NeoCon 2012, scheduled for June 11-13 in Chicago.
