Citadel Polyurea Coatings® introduced Ultra-Hydro Stop H2O Primer™, a water-based and enhanced version of the company’s Ultra-Hydro Stop Primer™ primer.

The coating is a two-component, 50% solids, water-based epoxy primer that cures in six hours, half the time of its predecessor, the company says.
The primer does not need scuff sanding prior to recoating and can be applied to diamond-ground concrete, eliminating the need for shot blasting to create a profile, the company adds.
The product is described as moisture-blocking and pH-resistant primer, and is reported to “hold back” up to six pounds of vapor drive in a single coat, or 12 pounds with two coats.
The primer is reported to adhere strongly to moist concrete, and can be used where low to moderate moisture issues exist, such as in basements and garages.
