Rust-Oleum (Vernon Hills, Ill.) launched Professional Dry Erase Paint, a high-performance coating that reported to convert walls into writeable and erasable surfaces.
The product was designed specifically for commercial, institutional and educational applications.
The two-part water-based urethane coating can also be used to convert existing chalkboards or dry-erase boards into new dry-erase surfaces, making it a cost-effective alternative to replacement of the surfaces, the company says.
“Rust-Oleum Professional Dry Erase was formulated specifically for the professional,” said Jenny Thavenet, associate brand manager. “The high gloss finish provides easy erasability, excellent chemical resistance, and great adhesion.”
The paint is available in traditional white and a clear formulas that can be applied over any color topcoat, the company says. The company says the paint is non-yellowing, with a low-VOC formula offering ease of mixing and smooth roll application.
A 1-gallon kit contains a water-based hydroxy acrylic base, activator, two roller covers and an instruction sheet.
