Reaves Inc., maker of Butyl II products, has joined with Trimaco LLC, makers of One Tuff and Easy Mask, under the Trimaco name.
The deal, announced Feb. 3, will create “a stronger, more product- and service-rich resource for customers in the paint market,” the companies said in a statement.
The two companies will be based at Trimaco’s headquarters in Durham, N.C.
“Reaves and Trimaco are an ideal match,” said Trimaco principal Charlie Cobaugh. “Not only have the principals of both companies known each other for many years, but Reaves’ product line is a great fit with Trimaco’s offerings as well.”
This “organizational and product synergy will help bring even greater value to customers as it further strengthens Trimaco’s commitment to total jobsite protection,” Cobaugh said.
Ron Sink of Reaves said: “Trimaco and Reaves are an excellent strategic fit with complementary product offerings. Our customers will benefit with better products, pricing and service.”
Sink will now serve as regional sales manager for Trimaco, with Charlie Reaves serving as vice president. Charlie Cobaugh, David May and Vito Ancona will remain in their current roles as principals of Trimaco, LLC.
The statement said both companies “bring a depth of industry experience to the market, along with a deep commitment to excellence in customer service, plus deep product lines.”
“Customers can expect this to be a seamless transition,” said Reaves.
