The May 1 deadline for receiving the discounted early-bird rate when entering Durability + Design’s inaugural Elevation Awards competition is just around the corner. Don’t miss this chance to earn recognition for outstanding work and receive exposure among industry peers.

D+D is seeking the most outstanding projects in nine categories, from air barriers to floor treatments. All D+D subscribers are eligible to nominate persons or companies for the Elevation Awards. Nominees can be designers who used coatings to achieve excellence in aesthetic or technical effects on a project, or applicators who demonstrated great skill in executing a painting project.

If you or one of your clients has completed an exceptional project between Jan. 1, 2016, and March 1, 2017, be sure to get your nominations into the running.

The early bird deadline closes at 11 p.m. ET May 1.

Awards Focus

Nominees will be vying for recognition in nine technical and aesthetic award categories. Projects can be nominated in more than one category at a rate of $195 per entry until 11 p.m. ET, May 1. After that the regular rate of $395 per entry will apply through May 26, after which nominations will no longer be accepted.

Technical award categories include:

  • Air Barrier/Moisture Management;
  • Floor Coatings + Treatments;
  • Renovation/Retrofit; and
  • Roof Coatings.

Aesthetic award categories include:

  • Commercial Interiors;
  • Commercial Exteriors;
  • Curtain Wall;
  • Distinguished Residential Exteriors; and
  • Public Buildings.

Plus, a Judges’ Choice Award recognizes an outstanding architecture project among the individual category winners that best exemplifies the seamless combination of compelling aesthetics and high performance in the use of coatings and other substrate treatments.

Award winners will be notified in August and awards will be presented at the CSI Annual Convention, CONSTRUCT, Sept. 13-16 in Providence, Rhode Island.
