Dependable LLC, an Ohio-based manufacturer of floor preparation products, has launched Vaporseal-HM, a 100 percent solid epoxy moisture mitigation system for concrete slabs.

Vaporseal-HM is a high performance product that treats areas where the relative humidity is up to 100 percent and has a perm rating of 0.06, according to the company.

The product limits alkalinity and the transmission of moisture, odor and other elements through concrete slabs.

Features and Characteristics

Vaporseal-HM was designed for ease of application, with a one-to-one mix ratio and a shelf life of up to two years, according to the manufacturer. Foot traffic on the product may resume after four to six hours; pot life is 15 to 25 minutes.

The clear, zero-VOC formula also benefits end users, the company said.

The product is compatible with most flooring adhesives and cementitious underlayments and allows the direct bond of most industrial coatings, floor leveling products, and most adhesive systems, according to Dependable.

Vaporseal-HM comes as a two-part, 10-gallon kit that can cover up to 700 square feet of surface.

About the Company

Headquartered in Mayfield Heights, OH, Dependable is a manufacturer of professional-grade floor preparation products for repair, restoration and moisture mitigation. Other company brands include Skimcoat, Skimcrete, Cutdown and Feathercrete.

Comment from Lynn Javoroski, (9/12/2013, 10:25 AM)

There is some concern over compatibility with "most" flooring adhesives and cementitious underlayments.

Comment from Lynn Javoroski, (9/12/2013, 10:29 AM)

The specifications are written in the discontinued MasterFormat95; that makes me suspicious about the quality of the specification. What else is out of date?

Comment from Anamaria Cindric, (9/12/2013, 3:12 PM)

We are in the process of updating all specs and hope to have them done as soon as possible. If you would like a list of compatible applications please contact us at info@depenedable.us.
