Instrument Repair Service Professional KTA-Tator, Inc. (KTA) was founded in 1949 to address the need for independent, unbiased assessments of the quality and performance of protective coatings used in corrosive environments. KTA’s developed the process of independent paint inspection in 1961. Not only does KTA continue to be the premier provider of industrial coatings inspection services, but KTA remains the largest distributor of a complete line of coatings inspection instruments from over 60 leading manufacturers and organizations throughout the world. KTA supplies the coatings industry with gages and standards used throughout the coatings process, from pre-surface preparation through final dry film thickness and adhesion testing, for verification and documentation of surface preparation and coating application operations. KTA is looking for the best and brightest candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit to expand our current book of business within the instrument service and repair market. In six months, you will be successful in this position when you can: • Revise and expand existing calibration and preventive maintenance procedures • Develop a system to manage the workflow of the repair and calibration services • Assist in developing a targeted marketing campaign to launch our expanded instrument repair and calibration service business to existing and new instrument sales customers • Implement and maintain service and repair contracts with customers • Track repair performance data, documentation and customer calls • Develop and implement a system to proactively report repair progress to our customers • Submit warranty claims to original equipment manufacturers on a timely basis • Ensure the defined quality management process is fully functioning and implemented • Update KTA’s web site with answers to FAQs and trouble-shooting tips • Create a strategy for web-based tutorials on instrument repair and maintenance • Participate in one or two tradeshows to promote instrument repair and calibration services • Implement and maintain a new instrument asset management program for entire company • Resolve all customer satisfaction issues in a professional, productive and prompt manner KTA is a casual, friendly workplace, where employees are treated with dignity and respect and are valued for their contributions.
