D+D Asks: Do You Pin?

Favorites, bookmarks, traditional scrapbooks or storyboards may soon be “old news” when it comes to design inspiration.

A website called “Pinterest,” launched earlier this year and still in invite-only form, has begun generating a buzz in the design world. The site already touts more than 1 million users.

Described as a “virtual pinboard,” the site allows users to pin online photos to self-created “boards.” It “helps you collect and explore what inspires you,” Ben Silbermann, a co-founder of the site, said in an interview with HGTV.com.

Also, the space allows users to share boards with others, peruse others’ pinboards, “comment,” “repin,” and “like” pins.

I, too, have joined in the pinning-craze. I must admit the experience has been quite addicting. So, I thought it only fitting to find out if some of the creative minds in the D+D community are also using Pinterest.

Have you been pinning? Tell us about your experience.
