Good points. When new ASTMs test methods come up in one of the subcommittees I am on, I always encourage the author to include some kind of guidance to the user - a default number of scrubs for example.

Please, in addition to specifying the products correctly, the standards completely and comprehensively, be sure to coordinate that part of the specification with the rest of it, making the whole as clear and concise as possible. Specifiers the world over will thank you!
