...and I didn’t see mention of one very effective and well established method for minimizing excess water: Reducing the water of convenience through the use of superplasticizers in the mix design. Very well established method for structural concrete, as reducing excess water from the mix design increases the strength of the concrete. This should be added to the mix design section. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superplasticizer
